While at Here, I took part in a not for profit collaboration between Central Saint Martins, DARC, and HMP ISIS.
The brief gave us real creative freedom: to produce a bold display of posters, shown in and around the prison, that could genuinely inspire the men there. We built each poster around a hero chosen by the participants themselves, then pulled on an expressive, handcrafted visual language of bold type, gestural marks and high contrast colour, giving those heroes weight on the wall and, hopefully, uplifting the people passing them every day.
